Dear Brothers and Sisters, Asalamewalakum all of you,
This is an invitation to all of you to share with us this opportunity to have a lot of Sadakat or Hassanat or charity, which will lead to heaven Inshallah. We are in the process of building a Masjid in the city of Flagstaff right behind NAU, “Northern Arizona University”, this project has started from scratch (Started with collected donation in the last 9 years.) From the idea of the Muslims to have their own Masjid since they‘ve used to rent an apartment or space to use it for prayers. So to build this Masjid it has to go through many steps and processes by the city of Flagstaff as follow :
- 1- We bought land (lot) for this purpose back in 1997 (all paid for Alhamdullillah) (Done)
- 2- Have demolition an old building on that lot and done rough grading at that time. (Done)
- 3- Had to hold a public hearing through the city of Flagstaff to approve building this Masjid (was approved about 3 years ago) (Done)
- 4- Applied for permits for site engineering and architect. (Done)
- 5- Applied for rough grading prior to building permit (approved already) cost is $6,000. (Done)
- 6- Public improvement and paving the ally (expected cost by a contractor is $20,000 should apply for Immediately after the rough grading is done. “Will give us a permit for 12 month)
- 7- Building permit to start building according to the approved plan expected cost $250,000- $300,000.
So please brothers and sisters as you can see we have gone a long way, the difficult part was done, the upcoming stage is only waiting for your donation and help, so please donate generously, and your donation is Tax Exempt. This is the first Masjid in Flagstaff.
